Slacking

Well, aren't I just the little slacker!!! Been 2 months since my last post. Things have been EVER so busy in the Park House.

December ended up with Christmas in Pittsburgh...and a great time at Park Vineyards. It was great to see the family! For New Years Eve, while Lexy was in Atlanta with her daddy, Tracy and I went to Charles Town Races and Slots in West Virginia. What a cute little town, we had a great time betting on the ponies and playing some video poker. Of course, we came home penny-less. We stayed at a nice little bed and breakfast called the Washington House Inn, which we highly recommend. This place was built by descendants of old George himself.

In January, Tracy and I joined a bowling league. Every Wednesday night we get to pay ten bucks a head to embarrass ourselves against people with 20 times the skill. Lexy likes it, because she can run around with newly acquired little friends at the alley. I also got my new Ipod (10gig for $70 on Ebay) working...I was a little clueless. But, might I say that I am SOOOOO Digging this little toy! I use it everywhere in the car and especially when I travel for business. I highly recommend getting one. I was able to put about half of my songs from my CD's on it. It was hard to pick and choose which ones to add, but I was able to squeeze 2,555 songs onto it. I think I am set for a weeks worth of music :). Dan and Carinne came over to watch the Steelers in the AFC Championship game on the 22nd...which totally ROCKED!!! YES! The Steelers in the Super bowl for the first time in 10 years and hoping for their first Super Bowl victory in 26 years! Next Stop Detroit!

In February, I went to Phoenix and Las Vegas for work. Tough job I know, but I WAS responsible with my money...losing ALL seventy bucks I took with me. The Vegas strip now has a Margaritaville at the Flamingo with a rooftop deck overlooking the Strip....it was a nice way to spend happy hour on a 75 degree day in the desert. Feb 5th brought us the XL Super Bowl with the Steelers facing the virgin Seahawks. I of course, did NOT put money on the black and gold while in Vegas....I didn't want to overplay my hand. Needless to say the big game and the wait paid off, with the Steelers winning 21-10. Anyone who thinks the refs handed the Steelers the game, really needs to do a little research. Even if every call went the Seahawks way, Pittsburgh would have still won the game 17-14, so SHUTUP! We drove to Pittsburgh to go see the game with the family and at the Reynolds (my brother's neighbors). The night before we went to the Hard Rock Cafe' down at Station Square. It was so awesome seeing the black and gold EVERYWHERE!!!! There was maybe 3% of the people who did NOT have Steelers stuff on. It was so awesome!

Well, it's now mid-February and things are hectic. Tracy is traveling her but off, going to Boston, Dallas (during our anniversary/valentine's day), New Jersey (twice), New Hampshire, and Wisconsin all within about a month and a half. I will be in Spokane next week for business, and plan to collect on my winnings from the local customer and Seahawks fan! Nothing like and easily earned bottle of wine and cigars.
