Halloween

Halloween came early in Hanover. Who am I to make assumptions that Halloween should happen on the traditional October 31st? As Lexy told us for the last three days, trick or treating is THIS week. We, as we usually do when she rants, though she was on drugs. Tracy and I both were stunned to hear them announce on the radio that trick-or-treating in Hanover was, in fact, tonight. OF COURSE, HOW COULD WE NOT KNOW HALLOWEEN IS ON TUESDAY OCTOBER 25TH! Calling each other in a panic, and realizing it it raining and 43 degrees out side, we both searched for the largest trees on the slipppery road to get us out of this nightmare (no offense Alex).

Rushing home, woofing down some hot dogs and pizza rolls (great parents we are, huh?), we threw Lexy in a Cheeleader outfit and some makeup, and made her a great DEAD CHEERLEADER outfit. LOL

So, I signed up for Vonage Broadband phone service yesterday, after getting my new phone bill for $180. Granted I had some installation costs, but holy crap! Recently I had seen the ads for Vonage and thought i would give it a shot. Are you kidding, $24.95 for unlimited local and long distance calls?? I'm in! So, stay tuned next month, when i realize that I got screwed. But, I am going on spec that I am getting a great deal and joining the leading edge of communication technology. Don't laugh....let me enjoy the glory.

Good Luck Visitor

So, I am working from home today, because Lexy was sick. I walk out to the mailbox and saw a Praying Mantis. Now, I don't know the last time any of you saw a praying mantis, but I think I was about 10 years old. It was a pretty neat sight. They say Praying Mantises are good luck if you find one in your yard, so I was feeling pretty good bout myself. I checked about 30 minutes later and you would not believe this guy was right at the end of my sidewalk, as if he was blessing the house. I have to imagine this is a true sign of good luck. It's no Powerball winner, but it's a start.

Hershey

Well, after a weekend at Hershey, Lexy has now become an official Hershey Factory worker. She was very bummed that we didn't go to Hershey Park...but it was cool that day, and we weren't staying to long. "Next time honey, I promise". We did attend the 3-D Show which was pretty cool, and took the tour ride. We walked out with some freebies, so all in all, it was a pretty "sweet" trip :)

On the more productive side of the Park household finances, Tracy began her new job at Chase this week, after a few sick days on the DL. After finally getting to Florida, she seemed to become very excited about the new position. Despite losing her wallet at the Airport on the way down, thing began to look up when she got her first account. She now manages no other than her husband favorite accounts payable recipient, JR Cigars. Hubby will no doubt be looking for a few freebies.

This Saturday we spent the afternoon at the Hanover YMCA Fall Festival, where Lexy got to do some Pumpkin Painting, Maze navigating, and Hay Riding. Such are the exciting weekend afternoons in Hanover. Seriously, it was a cute little festival, we got a free pumpkin, free car wash and got to free up some cupboard space by donating some food items to charity.
. Tracy's now on her way back to Coral Springs for week number two of training.

Finally thanks to Tommy's three interceptions and a fumble, thee boys lost to Jacksonville today to wrap up the weekend. No Big Ben, No Hines, and 2 games back in the AFC North now...Hrumph.

Welcome

Hello and welcome to the Park Blog. Never thought I would see the day I would say that. You may wonder if you have found a winery web site. Sorry to say, no, just a wine lover's site.

We are the Park Family, hailing from just about everywhere. Originally from Pittsburgh, I am Michael Park and Head of the household (or so Tracy lets me think). She would be my wife originally from Sevier County, Tennessee (You know, Dollywood). The true ruler of the house is Lexy. She's 8 going on 16 and a Georgia native. We are completed by Skylar, the 5 year old Jack Russell mix, who is the diplomat of the family.

We have recently moved from Maryland back over the Mason Dixon line to PA and now live in Hanover. Hanover is about 30 miles south of Harrisburg and 10 miles east of Gettysburg. Here are some pictures of our new home (not our stuff in the pictures, we took the pics before we moved in).

We invite you to stop back often and see what's new with the Park Family
